Just like designing a Kid's Bedroom needs a detailed thought process similarly designing a Parent's Bedroom also needs to be thought about. Elderly people often tend to spend most of the time in their rooms either reading or taking a nap. Hence its very important to choose the appropriate color or texture on the wall at the same time it shouldn't look dull.

Height of the beds must be at least a 20inches high from the floor upto the mattress. A handle bar support incorporated in the bed design is an addition.

Flooring is another concern, one must make sure not to use smooth flooring tiles rather using an anti-skid flooring times are absolutely advisable. Another option could be carpeting around throughout the room.

Excess furniture must not be dumped rather just a wardrobe and a reading table and side table on either sides of the bed are a must.
